Fukushima’s most iconic flower viewing location is known as “utopia”. The spectacular view of approximately 70 varieties of flowers, including cherry blossoms, plum blossoms, Japanese cornel, forsythia, magnolias, and peach blossoms, is created from the farms of local flower growers. This is what it means to say that flowers bring people to the area.

写真家の故・秋山庄太郎さんが福島に桃源郷ありと絶賛した「花見山公園」花木農家の阿部一郎さんが「自然の花の美しさを、誰でも気兼ねなく見られるように」と、個人の畑である土地を、気楽に散策できる“公園”として無料で一般開放してくれたのです。そのおかげで、福島県を代表する花の名所として全国各地から毎年多くの方が訪れるようになりました。
